The Center for Clergy Excellence provides support and coordination to all the programs of the Board of Ordained Ministry including nurture and guidance for provisional members and the efforts of the Order of Deacons, Order of Elders, and the Fellowship of Local Pastors and Associate Members. The support for the credentialing interviews of candidates for provisional and full connection membership, and full-time local pastors are also a part of the responsibilities of CCE. The Ministerial Education Fund is also administered through this office providing financial assistance to seminary students and local pastors in the Course of Study. The personnel files for all the clergy of the conference are maintained by this office. The Director is a member of the bishop's appointive cabinet.
