Essential Functions: To fulfill the mission of the General Board of Discipleship (GBOD) by directing the work of the Office of Stewardship through providing resources, training, research and networks for resourcing leaders (clergy and lay), and fulfilling GBOD's flow of Engage, Relate, Grow, and Partner.
Requirements: The position requires the incumbent to be a person of hope and vision, deeply rooted in Christian faith and practice and have a profound sense of the importance of the making of Christian disciples; thorough knowledge of The United Methodist Church, knowledge of holistic stewardship research, design, development, and interpretation; shows proven grounding in biblical and practical aspects of stewardship; proficiency in the consultation process; team building, and decision making; interpersonal skills; proficiency in communication skills, both written and oral; demonstrated cultural sensitivity; ability to be flexible and adaptable; computer skills with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint as well as network communication software. Must have a master's Degree or equivalent with particular knowledge about stewardship and congregational systems with two to four years of related experience.

Summary:
Calling Congregations Regional Directors’ primary responsibilities are to build relationships with
regional and local partners; develop and oversee at least one programmatic offering; and
convene workshops and events with regional and local partners in an effort to help
congregations reclaim their role in nurturing future pastoral leaders for the church. The position
requires a high level of decision making and strategic thinking with a collaborative team as well
as an ability to work independently to implement specific activities to meet grant goals and
deadlines.
Specific Responsibilities
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with at least 100 congregations and 25 churchrelated
organizations
• Organize and educate regional FTE alumni, friends and partners regarding FTE
fellowships, Calling Congregations resources and other events in coordination with FTE
staff persons who have oversight for fellowships, recruitment and alumni development
• Convene outreach workshops and events with organizational partners
• Develop and manage at least one Calling Congregations program resource
• Maintain accurate and timely records and reporting of relationship building efforts
• Attend to ongoing learning with team members and partners, specifically by participating
in regular team meetings and reflection
• Other activities to support the mission of FTE
Qualifications: Must hold a Master of Divinity degree and have three to five years of
professional experience in a congregation, non-profit, denominational or theological institution.
Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and diversity in pastoral ministry and theological
education and to the importance of nurturing young leaders for the church. Experience in
cultivating relationships in new contexts; familiarity with more than one denomination; and able
to relate to senior leaders in congregations and church-related organizations. Community
organizing experience is a plus.
Strong computer skills; excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and
interpersonal skills are necessary. Independent judgment is required to plan, multi-task,
prioritize and organize a diverse workload with attention to details. We seek an outgoing,
hardworking, and creative colleague with proven ability to work with a team. Must be proficient
in the Microsoft Office Suite and social networking tools. This position is located in Atlanta, GA
and requires traveling.

Crossfire is the UGA Wesley Foundation's summer traveling Youth Ministry Team. The team consist of 3 college aged guys and 3 college aged girls that are extensively trained for the summer. The Crossfire Team can help your church in June-July of 2010 with any ministry to children and youth. The Cost of the team is $200 a day plus 40 cents per mile from previous location. You would also be responsible for providing host homes and their meals during the duration of their stay.

Roswell UMC in suburban Atlanta is currently seeking a full-time Director of Children’s Ministry, directly responsible for the comprehensive, Christian discipleship of more than 300 children from birth through fifth grade. This position provides leadership for the Children’s Ministry team, which includes a four person professional staff and over 75 adult volunteers in its Sunday morning nursery and Kidz Zone large group/small group program for preschool and elementary, as well as additional ministry programs such as Vacation Bible School and Morning in Bethlehem.
Qualifications of a successful candidate include:
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree with Christianity and Christian Education/Children’s Ministry credits. Certification in Christian Education or Children’s Ministry is preferred.
• Child development expert – birth to older elementary
• 7-10 years professional, local church experience with at least 3 years as a proven servant leader/manager/team builder of staff and volunteers.
• Broad and current knowledge of curriculum resources and educational strategies/philosophies within the UMC; champion of the Wesleyan tradition.
The children’s ministry team works out of two buildings that house: a 400 seat elementary Kidz Zone auditorium with state of the art staging, sound, and lighting for live productions; two centralized, computer check-in centers; 21 small group meeting rooms; the Children’s Library; four furnished nursery rooms; and indoor and outdoor playgrounds. The team also manages well over $100,000.00 in ministry funds and equipment.

Bethel United Methodist Church in Stockbridge, Georgia is seeking a passionate and faith-filled part-time Children’s Minister to serve a growing and culturally diverse community. Qualified candidate must be an active Christian and have experience in planning for and working with children. Position would require approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, but would vary according to special events. Mauldin United Methodist Church (MUMC) located in Mauldin, South Carolina is seeking a Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, for a full time position. The director will work with the Council on Ministries and the Youth Ministry Council to develop, implement, and coordinate goals and ministries for grades 6 thru 12 as well as college age. The ideal candidate should first and foremost have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion to help youth and young adults grow in their faith and commitment to Christ. The ideal candidate should also possess strong relational, managerial, and organizational skills as well as be able to recruit and direct volunteers working in the youth program. MUMC has a combined attendance of approximately 800 at its three worship services each Sunday morning. The youth program on Sunday evenings is dynamic and growing, attended by 45 to 60 mid-high and Sr. high students. In September 2009, MUMC dedicated its brand new 30,000 SF facility called the Spirit Center. The Spirit Center has a 600 seat auditorium with state of the art sound and video equipment. For sale: An Abbot Hall Alb. The material is very light weight, and I believe it is a cotton/linen/rayon mix. The length is 51 ½ inches from the closure at the neck to the bottom of the hem. The Abbot Hall size tag is a 60, which is considered large on size charts. It has side pockets and a front zipper that ends at a Velcro closure at the neck. Although only worn a few times, it’s just been dry cleaned. Could be described as sand or flax colored. It is perfect for summer services.
