Part Time Director of Children's Ministry 20 Hours Per Week

The Director of Children's Ministry serves as a staff member within a vibrant congregation, working with a committed staff and gifted lay leadership to nurture children, from birth through fifth grade, in the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Responsible for the planning, oversight, and leadership of Children’s Ministries including Wednesday Night Ministries, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Special Events, and Retreats.
- Recruit, train, pray for, coordinate, and involve volunteers for children’s ministries.
- Create and effectively manage the children’s ministries budget.
- Maintain the children’s ministries marketing and public relations footprint in the community and online
- Communicate consistently with staff, church members, parents, and children as necessary to complete the church’s ministries
- Be a presence in the community—including school and extracurricular events, special events, etc.
- Lead our Church’s Safe Sanctuaries Program through administration, communication, and training.
- Responsible for our church nursery including giving supervision, leadership, and support to the coordinator of nursery ministries.
- Work with the Senior Pastor, staff, church members, and visitors to fulfill the vision of WFUMC especially as it relates to Children’s Ministries.
