Youth

Vibrant, relevant, and diverse ministry with the youth of North Georgia!
Youth ministry in the North Georgia Conference is diverse. The conference (the largest in membership in United Methodism) is made up of mostly small churches, but it is also the conference with the most MEGA churches, meaning there are many churches with no youth ministry programming, many churches with an average size youth group of 12 to 20 at a weekly gathering, and quite a few churches with hundreds of youth actively attending various youth ministries consisting of small groups, large worship, and powerful service.

No matter what size, no matter how active, no matter how informed or experienced you are in youth ministry, the North Georgia Conference Council on Youth Ministry (CCYM) wants to be a resource and a source of encouragement for reaching out and equipping the youth and youth leaders in your community. In these youth ministry web pages you will find opportunities for everyone in the conference to learn from ministering with youth. You will find spiritual retreats, training opportunities, mission trips, and support - all created just for you and your group. Let us know how we can be involved in the lives and discipling of your youth. Our role with all of these events is to help our congregations do better, not to do better than our congregations.

CULTIV8 YOUTH MINISTRY COHORT

We have a new Youth Ministry Cohort designed specifically for Youth Ministers/Youth Workers who are part-time or volunteers.  These cohorts will consist of 8 group coaching sessions. First and final group sessions to be held in person, with other 6 sessions via Zoom. Additionally, cohort participants receive up to 8 individual, 50-minute coaching sessions (one per month). Individual session content is based on the specific needs of the participant. The cost to the participant is only $250 for the entire year. We are asking districts to forward any leads of part-time or volunteer youth ministers we can nominate/invite to be a part of this new cohort. Feel free to forward the flyer attached as well.
