NGUMC MAIL

The North Georgia Conference provides an e-mail address (personal.alias@ngumc.net) to everyone holding clergy status, as well as those serving under appointment, within the conference.

How do I begin using NGUMC Mail on Gmail?

Manage your email by logging in at http://www.gmail.com. The first time you log in you will need to complete a brief confirmation screen, and change your password. Please see the "What is my Gmail username and password?" section below. A “Get started” information is available at https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/9297685.

What is my Gmail username and password?

Usernames use a personal alias based upon your preferred first name and last name (personal.alias@ngumc.net).

Gmail requires passwords to be at least 8 characters in length. When your account was created you should have been sent an account setup link that prompted you to create a password. Please complete the security information as requested so that you can safely maintain your own password.

Access your account on a mobile phone

You may setup a mobile phone as your only access method, or use it in addition to another method. Directions are available at https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/9296612?hl=en.

Access your account on an email client (Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail, etc.)?

Directions for connecting via imap are available at https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7126229?hl=en.

Forwarding (NOT RECOMMENDED)

You can set up forwarding on your own through Gmail's settings. Please note that it is our recommendation that you check your ngumc account directly through gmail rather than forward this email to another account.
