Higher Education & Collegiate Ministries
Vision
The Georgia United Methodist Commission on Higher Education and Collegiate Ministry works in connection with both the North and South Georgia Annual Conferences and functions as a bridge between the local United Methodist churches of both conferences and the United Methodist colleges, universities, and Wesley Foundations and Fellowships within the two episcopal areas.
Mission
The mission of the Georgia United Methodist Commission on Higher Education and Collegiate Ministry is to sustain the ongoing ministries of the United Methodist colleges and universities and Wesley Foundations and Fellowships located within the North and South Georgia Conferences, and continually to search for and implement new ways for the church to be in ministry in higher education settings.
The mission is carried out in the context of the United Methodist Church’s mission in higher education and collegiate ministry, which is “to unite the two so long divided, knowledge and vital piety.”
