Care, Compassion, Consistency: Ben Hill UMC Food Bank Celebrates 45 Years of Ministry

The Food Bank at Ben Hill UMC in Atlanta has been a ministry of the church for more than 45 years. The majority of clients are families with children, and over 800 families are typically served monthly. This equates to approximately 30,000 individuals or 120,000 pounds of food each year. Unforeseen circumstances in life such as illnesses, divorce, and work shortages are just a few of the reasons people seek assistance with food.
