Cascade UMC Exceeds Fundraising Goal to Build the First United Methodist Church in Central African Republic
Cascade UMC Atlanta announced Sunday that the congregation has raised $150,358.00 to build the first United Methodist church in the Central African Republic in partnership with the UMC General Board of Global Ministries.

The fundraising campaign was just three weeks long, and far exceeded the original $100,000 goal.

"We are incredibly proud to have exceeded our fundraising goal and to have the opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a United Methodist presence in the Central African Republic," said Rev. Dr. Kevin R. Murriel, Senior Pastor of Cascade UMC. "This historic moment represents our vision to be a light in the community and around the world, and we are grateful for the support of our congregation and partners at Global Ministries."

On Sunday, Roland Fernandes, General Secretary of Global Ministries and UMCOR, attended worship at Cascade to receive the gift and join in celebrating the announcement.

Journey to Joy: Lessons from the Letters
August 23-25, 2024
Join us this summer for a joyful and worshipful time of fellowship and learning as we dive into “Lessons from the Letters: A Journey to the Abundant Life.” This Bible study explores the letters to the seven churches in the opening chapters of the book of Revelation revealing the path to the abundant life. Although written centuries ago, these truths are as relevant to us today as they were to the early believers.

Journey to Joy: The Abundant Life
Nov. 1-3, 2024
Jesus said “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” God knows our pain, our relationship challenges, our financial setbacks, and the deep ache in our hearts. Although Jesus tells us, “in this world, you will have trouble,” He assures us that we can “take heart,” for He has overcome the world. Come join us on this new experience and fresh look at these passages as we dig deeper to claim the promises of the abundant life filled with the joy of the Lord.
