A Night of Awareness
A huge THANK YOU this evening to the pastoral staff, the people of Sam Jones UMC and the Northwest District for hosting "A Night of Awareness," a presentation by the faith-based ministry StreetGrace on the issue of human trafficking.
There were 68 people in attendance from across Bartow County and the district, including law enforcement, DFACS, CASA and local churches for this informative and inspiring conversation about this complex and destructive problem in our communities.
The conversation inspired many of those in attendance to continue the conversation and discern concrete ways that God is calling Christians and community leaders to rescue those enslaved to trafficking and to transform their communities into havens of blessing and peace.
