Michelle Levan is Assistant Director for the Office of Clergy Excellence, for the North Georgia Annual Conference. Michelle is an active layperson in the conference. 

Michelle is a graduate of Greensboro College, Greensboro, North Carolina and Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. She is originally from the Western North Carolina conference and believes Lake Junaluska to be one of the most beautiful places in the southeast.

Michelle joined the Clergy Excellence team after spending 10 years working with Local Pastors through the Course of Study School at Emory University. Michelle served as the Assistant Director for the Course of Study School from 2010-2015, and as the Program Coordinator from 2005-2010.  Prior to working with COS she spent two years working with the Admissions Office at Candler School of Theology, Emory University.

Michelle has a passion for good coffee, which is a direct result of her experience of working for the Starbucks Coffee Company following seminary. When she isn’t at work or drinking coffee you’ll find her in the garden or the kitchen cooking up the goods from the garden. She has also started exploring the art of fruit carving.
