Youth Shine at Weekend Leadership Summit

This weekend, members of the North Georgia Annual Conference youth delegation attended a Youth Summit at Glisson Camp & Retreat Center. This leadership event, offered by the Center for Congregational Excellence, was designed for youth who have attended Annual Conference, will attend Annual Conference, or are aspiring to lead in the North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church. 

The youth got to know one another and adult leaders, got an insider's preview of the 2024 Annual Conference, and learned about leading as a youth at the Annual Conference session and in their local church.  

"We enjoyed being on holy ground this weekend!" said Chris Moss, Conference Youth Ministry Coordinator and Youth Ministry Director for Tucker First UMC. 

Members of the youth delegation are full members of the North Georgia Annual Conference session with voice and vote. They serve in a District At-Large capacity. 

The event, paired with the Spring Confirmation Retreat, was filled with worship, inspiration, and connection!
