North Georgia UMCs Receive Rethink Church Grants

The Rethink Church program of United Methodist Communications awards three types of grants each year: Community Event Grants, Digital Advertising Grants, and New Church Start Grants. Six North Georgia United Methodist churches were recipients of 2015-2016 Rethink Church grants.

Clarkston UMC, Clarkston

2015 - Advent Season:
Canon UMC, Canon 
Mount Pisgah UMC, Johns Creek 
 
2016 - Easter Season:
Lewis Memorial UMC, Evans 
 
New Church Start Grant:
 
The Nett, Lilburn 
The Vine Church, Hoschton 
 
"We used the digital grant for Advent and received a lot of attention and traction," said Marcy Heinz, communications director at Mount Pisgah UMC in Johns Creek. "I’d highly recommend the communication grants from UMCom."

Churches can also take advantage of the free and low-cost resources available each season – 100 free customized door hangers, 100 free customized invitation cards, free worship resources and a low-cost direct mail program.
