Online Lighthouse Congregation Training Now Available
Interested in becoming a Lighthouse Congregation?
In response to the warm reception to this opportunity to emphasize care and hospitality, the Center for Congregational Excellence now offers online Lighthouse Congregation training! Here's how to become a Lighthouse Congregation in 2024:
- Form a lay-led “Beacon Team” to drive local church mobilization.
- Download the Lighthouse Congregation Training video. Pastor(s) and the Beacon Team should watch. Better yet, have a watch party with your Beacon Team!
- Contact the Center for Congregational Excellence to schedule a team of two Lighthouse trainers for a mobilization meeting - to talk through questions, help you get organized, and connect you to the other churches involved in this exciting movement!
- Complete the Beacon Team Planning Document.
- Church Council or Simplified Accountability Board adopt the Lighthouse Congregation Statement.
- Notify your District Office and enroll as a Lighthouse Congregation!
