Celebrating the Launch of Grace UMC in Forsyth
A new church is launching in Forsyth!
Grace United Methodist Church Forsyth held its inaugural worship service in November 2023 and has continued worship, Bible study, fellowship, and service since. Rev. Carol Cook is pastor of this South West District church.
"We are building a caring, Spirit-filled community that welcomes and supports all people," said Rev. Cook.
Grace UMC has been warmly welcomed at Forsyth Presbyterian Church (63 N Jackson St.) where the congregation meets.
Bible study is Sundays at 2 pm, worship is Sundays at 3 pm, and the congregation gathers for a fellowship dinner on Wednesday evenings at local restaurants.
"I'm giving thanks for this faithful, joyous gathering of our new United Methodist church in Monroe County!" said Rev. Richard Hunter of the North Georgia Conference Center for Congregational Excellence. "And thanks to Forsyth Presbyterian for providing space to this emerging church."
