The Annual Conference Planning Committee met February 3 and made the decision to shorten the Annual Conference session this year. Conference will open Tuesday, June 16, and conclude Thursday, June 18. This will allow us to demonstrate our sensitivity toward the current financial situation and to be good stewards of all our resources.
> Early registration will still be available on Monday, June 15.
> Conference will officially begin with the Laity Orientation and Clergy Executive Session at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16.
> Opening worship service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
> We will conclude on Thursday afternoon, June 18, when the business is completed. The United Methodist Men’s BBQ will still take place at 5:30 that afternoon.
Persons will need to decide whether to keep their hotel room overnight Thursday or check out that morning and go home after the session ends on Thursday. Details of the agenda are being worked about and will be communicated as soon as that is complete.
