Staff Update: Conference Welcomes Farrar to New Role, McKoon to New Position

The North Georgia Conference bid farewell to four staff members in recent months, and has now welcomed three staff to new roles or new positions in the Conference Office. 

This month Renee Farrar steps into the role of Administrative Assistant to Bishop Robin Dease. Renee has served as District Administrator in the Central South District since 2014 and will cover both positions until May 31. Renee is a Certified Professional Administrator of the United Methodist Connectional Structure and has worked in the local church, district, and now conference office. 

Chase McKoon joined our Treasurer's staff in January as Benefits and IT Associate. This new position combines two previous roles into one. Chase comes to us from recent positions and internships with Candler School of Theology, the Alabama West Florida Conference, and Glenn Memorial UMC. 

Earlier this year, Conference staff member Angela Odegard transitioned from her previous position in Benefits to serve as Assistant Director of Conference Benefits. In this role, Odegard manages the day-to-day operations of the Benefits Office and is the primary contact for the Benefits Office. Odegard has served on the North Georgia Conference staff since October 2022. (Read that full announcement here.)
