The North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church values and loves all who work with local church youth ministries!

A Day Away at Glisson is to let you know you are appreciated – kind of like a big hug from the conference.

This mini, one-day retreat, designed by youth ministry experts with close to a century of combined youth ministry experience, is not your ordinary workshop-based youth training event. You need curriculum and program ideas but you also deserve a little spiritual care. We’ll start with worship at 10 am, have a yummy lunch, resourcing time, then we’ll have experts on hand to navigate two rounds of basecamp sessions at 1 pm and 2 pm targeting specific topics you have identified.

Whether you are a full-time, part-time, volunteer, on your own, part of a staff, seasoned for decades, or new last week, there is something here for you!

A Day Away will be April 20 from 10am-3pm at Glisson Camp and Retreat Center.

Registration is required but there is no cost. If Glisson’s not a day trip from where you live, we can arrange sleeping space Friday night – there’s a spot for that on the registration form!
