Clergy Rest & Renewal Retreats 2024

March 14-15, Salem Campground | May 13-14, Salem Campground | September 17, Glisson

In 2024, The North Georgia Conference Center for Clergy Excellence is hosting a series of three Rest & Renewal retreats for clergy.

Two overnight retreats will be offered at Salem Campground, one in March and one in May. A one-day retreat will be held at Camp Glisson in September.

The primary purpose of these retreats is to care for our dedicated and hard-working clergy by providing space, time, and resources for renewal. Another benefit of these retreats will be the building of relationships among our conference clergy in a relaxed setting. Clergy will have the opportunity to spend time in an informal setting with Bishop Dease, who plans to be present at the retreats. These Clergy Rest & Renewal Retreats are designed so clergy can create the retreat they need. There will be structured and unstructured renewal options available. One clergyperson might make it an active retreat by participating in all the offerings, and another might decide to take it slow and choose one or two activities.

Clergy can choose to stay overnight at the Salem retreats or commute from home. Clergy are welcome to sign up for one or all three. (And all clergy are encouraged to attend the day away at Glisson!)

These retreats are sponsored by the Center for Clergy Excellence in partnership with the Bishop’s Office and the Orders of Elders, Deacons, and Fellowship of Local Pastors. Registration fees are being subsidized by the Conference to provide an affordable retreat for our hard-working clergy.
