St. James UMC in Atlanta, a medium sized, loving, vibrant and music-loving congregation seeks a Full time Director of Music Ministry. We seek to "grow in faith that translates belief into action" as our church mission.
Since music has always been a critical part of our identity, we desire a talented and ministry-focused director who will assure our continued growth by offering a varied repertoire of musical offerings.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Working with pastors and other leaders to plan worship.
2. Directing the adult choir, youth music, handbell choir, and seasonal groups.
3. To reach out to potential choir members and musicians for growth.
4. To lead the music ministry spiritually, fostering a caring and supportive atmosphere.
